International University of Japan (IUJ) is Japan’s first graduate university where all courses are taught in English. To date, we have produced over 5,300 alumni from 143 countries, and currently, the student body consists of approximately 400 students. Although small in size, these students hail from around 70 different nations, creating a truly global and diverse environment. IUJ stands as a unique “global space” within Japan, offering a place where students can both learn about the world and gain deeper insights into Japan. By using English as the sole medium of instruction, students are able to receive a high standard of graduate education in International Relations and International Management, aligned with global standards. The Graduate School of International Relations emphasizes small group discussions and interactive dialogue, equipping students with the ability to tackle global challenges. Meanwhile, the Graduate School of International Management is accredited by AACSB, a prestigious global business education accreditation body. Through case discussions, presentations, and projects, students gain practical skills and knowledge that can be applied directly to the business world. At IUJ, students learn alongside individuals sent from governments around the world and Japan’s leading companies, fostering a strong sense of international awareness and building valuable personal networks. Our fully residential campus in Minamiuonuma, Niigata, offers a rich and immersive experience, where students live and learn together year-round, experiencing Japan’s four seasons in rich nature. This environment nurtures a close-knit and diverse community, preparing students to collaborate on a global scale.
