Hosei University

Hosei University is a private university founded in 1880, which has a rich history of more than 140 years. It is one of Japan’s leading universities with a total of 15 faculties and 38 departments from science to liberal arts. It has three campuses in Tokyo – the Ichigaya Campus, Tama Campus, and Koganei Campus. As a member of The Top Global University Project initiated by the Japanese government, a total of 1,554 foreign students from overseas were also accepted in 2023. Hosei University also has 269 overseas partner universities in 48 countries and regions.Hosei University also offers a variety of support such as employment support and scholarships. Hosei University offers programs not only in Japanese but also in English, also known as the English-based Degree Programs, which are taught entirely in English. Ichigaya is a modern campus with high rise building in urban environment with great access to academic resources in libraries and museums, and lots of entertainments. * IGESS students spend the first three semesters at Ichigaya Campus and the following five semesters at Tama Campus located in the suburb of Tokyo where they study.
