University of Toyama

The University of Toyama is in Toyama City and Takaoka City in Toyama Prefecture, which is located on the West coast, in the center of Japan. Toyama Prefecture is a local district with changes of the seasons where the Tateyama Mountain range, which is one of the most beautiful Mountain in Japan, is in the east and Toyama Bay, on the Sea of Japan, to the north. And the university houses 9 undergraduate schools, 6 graduate schools and 12 research and educational institutes. There are approximately 9,300 students including 300 international students studying at the university. When you come to Toyama, in addition to studying, you can enjoy seasonal activities such as climbing Tateyama Mountain range, swimming in the sea, and skiing.
